This Privacy Policy describes how Rehan ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our services, including:

• Android Apps Tamil Nadu Government App, Manapparai Info App, Words to Pages Converter App
• Chrome Extension Rehan Job Helper

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We encourage you to read this policy carefully to understand how your data is handled.

1.1 Android Applications

User-Provided Information: For the Manapparai Info App, users may voluntarily submit business information including business name, address, phone number, and business category. This information is:

• Submitted voluntarily by users
• Verified by us before being displayed in the app
• Used solely to provide local business information to other users
• Not collected automatically

Analytics Data: Our apps use Google Play Services and AdMob, which may collect:

• Device information (model, operating system version)
• App usage statistics
• Crash reports and diagnostic data

1.2 Chrome Extension (Rehan Job Helper)

Data Stored Locally: The following data is stored locally in your browser and is never sent to our servers:

• Profile (saved form fields): Personal information you save, which may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, LinkedIn/GitHub/portfolio URLs, salary information, notice period, work authorisation answers, date of birth, passport number, educational history, employment history, headline, any other answers you choose to save, and optional alternative wordings you add to a field
• Work history, education and skills: Jobs (company, title, location, dates, description), education entries (school, degree, field, dates, grade) and a list of your skills
• Saved answers: Reusable answers you write or save for open questions (for example "Why do you want to work here?"), with alternative wordings and how often each was used
• Profiles: If you create more than one profile, a copy of each profile's details, work history, education, skills and resume, with the profile name
• Assistant conversation: Your recent messages to the assistant and its replies (up to the last 40), and which data you chose to share with it
• Resume file: A PDF or Word file (up to 5 MB) you add so it can be attached to resume upload fields
• Remembered answers: For each website, answers you type or correct on application forms: the website name, the question's label, and either the answer or the name of the saved field it matches, so the same form fills automatically next time
• Job Application Tracker Data: Company name, role name, role URL, location, application status and its history, date added, date applied, follow-up date, your notes, whether the job was added automatically, and last updated timestamp for jobs you track, save from a job ad, or that are logged when you submit an application
• Job Site Bookmarks: A list of job portal websites organized by country, including both default sites and any custom sites you add
• AI Settings: Your OpenAI and/or Anthropic API key (kept on this device, or only until Chrome closes if you choose that option), chosen models, effort and output limits, which AI providers you have allowed, token usage counts, prompt templates, and resume text you enter for the Fit check
• Extension Preferences: Page buttons toggle, autofill options, automatic tracking on/off, skills badge on/off, weekly application goal, follow-up delay, input/output visibility toggle
• Usage counts: Counts kept on this device only (for example how many forms you have filled, cover letters written and assistant chats) to show your setup checklist and weekly progress. They are never sent anywhere.
• Skills to avoid and Naukri highlight settings: Skills you want flagged on job ads, and the Naukri.com highlight options

Where the extension runs: By default only on major job portals (for example Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, iCIMS, SmartRecruiters, LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri and SEEK). It runs on other websites only if you turn on "Use on all websites" in Settings, or when you press the fill shortcut on a page.

Data Accessed from Web Pages: When you click "Fill this page" or press the fill shortcut, the extension reads the form on that page:

• Form field labels and attributes (name, id, placeholder, aria-label, type, required status) and nearby section headings
• Dropdown and radio-button options, and values already in the fields (so it doesn't overwrite your answers)
• While a form it has filled is open, answers you type into those fields, to remember them for that website (stored locally only)
• Job ad details (title, company, location, description) when you save a job, check your fit, or draft AI answers on a page that contains a job posting
• Field values when you click the "Save" button on a field
• Application confirmation (automatic tracking): After you fill a form with the extension, on that tab only and for up to 3 hours, it checks the page's headings and main text for an "application received" message and notes whether you clicked the form's Submit button. When both happen, the job is added to your tracker as Applied. You can undo it, or turn automatic tracking off in Settings. Only the job title, company and page address are stored, on your device.
• Skills match badge: On pages that include structured job-posting data, it reads the job title and description to count how many of your saved skills are mentioned. This is worked out on your device; you can turn the badge off in Settings.

Keep filling (optional): If you turn on "Keep filling when the form moves to the next step", the extension also reads and fills the next pages of the same application website in that tab, including forms inside embedded frames, for up to 45 minutes after the last page it filled. It never clicks Next, Save or Submit. Turn the option off at any time.

Passwords, account login fields, search boxes and hidden fields are never read or filled, and consent or terms checkboxes are never ticked for you.

No Chrome Sync: This extension uses only chrome.storage.local (and chrome.storage.session for an API key you choose to keep only until Chrome closes). Your data does not sync across devices via your Google account.

Data Sent to Third Parties: When you use the optional AI features (AI answers, Fit check, cover letters, the assistant and resume import), certain data is sent to the AI provider you choose, OpenAI or Anthropic, after you allow it. See Section 3.2 for full details.

2.1 Android Applications

2.2 Chrome Extension

• Form Autofill: To fill job application forms from your saved profile when you click "Fill this page" or press the fill shortcut. This works entirely in your browser, without AI.
• Remembered answers: To fill the same form on the same website automatically next time, using answers you typed or corrected
• Job Application Tracking: To help you track and manage job applications locally on your device, including logging an application automatically when you submit a form you filled with the extension
• Follow-up reminders: To show the number of applications due for a follow-up on the extension icon. The count is worked out on your device a few times a day.
• Skills match: To show how many of your skills a job ad mentions, on your device
• Job Site Management: To provide a curated list of job portal websites and allow you to manage custom bookmarks
• AI answers (Optional): When you add your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key and click "Draft answers with AI", the questions your profile couldn't answer, your saved profile values (up to 500 characters each), the resume text you selected in Fit check (if any) and the job ad (when the page has one) are sent to your chosen provider to draft answers
• Fit check (Optional): Your resume text, your resume file if you tick "Send my resume file", the job description and the scoring prompt are sent to your chosen provider to generate a fit score and analysis
• Cover letters (Optional): The job description (from the page or pasted), your name, summary, experience, skills, recent jobs, education and city/country are sent to your chosen provider to write a cover letter you can edit
• Assistant (Optional): Your message, the recent conversation and only the data you choose with the "Using" chips (profile details, work history and education, your job tracker entries, the job ad on the current page, saved answers) are sent to your chosen provider to answer you
• Resume import (Optional): Your resume file or pasted resume text is sent to your chosen provider to extract your details, work history, education and skills. You review everything before it is saved. Without an AI key, contact details and links are picked up from pasted text on your device only.
• Clipboard Operations: To copy saved field values or AI-generated reports to your clipboard when you click a copy button
• Profile spreadsheet: To let you download your profile as a CSV template, fill it in yourself (or with a service you choose, such as ChatGPT) and upload it back. The file is created and read on your device; the extension never sends it anywhere.
• Send feedback (Optional): Opens an email to the developer (rehanmobileapps@gmail.com) in your own email app. It contains what you write and, if you leave the box ticked, the current form's questions and how each was matched - never your answers or profile details. The extension does not send it; you review it and send it yourself from your email account.
• Data Import/Export: To export your data as a JSON backup file (including remembered answers and your resume file) or import a previous backup. API keys are included only if you confirm when exporting.

3.1 Android Applications

Our apps use the following third-party services that may collect information:

• Google Play Services - For app functionality and analytics
• AdMob - For displaying advertisements

3.2 Chrome Extension

The Rehan Job Helper extension communicates with the following third-party services only when you use specific features:

a) OpenAI API or Anthropic API (Optional — requires your own API key)

If you use the AI features, the extension sends data directly from your browser to the provider you choose in Settings: OpenAI or Anthropic. The first time you use an AI feature with a provider, the extension asks for your permission and sends nothing until you allow it. You can stop sharing at any time in Settings.

• AI answers — data sent:
  • The questions on the current form that your profile couldn't answer (labels, types, required status, section headings and options)
  • Your saved profile values (labels and values, each up to 500 characters). This may include personal information such as your name, email, phone number, address, salary, employment history and other data you have saved.
  • The resume text you selected in Fit check, if any
  • The job ad on the page (title, company, description), when the page contains a job posting or you captured it
• Fit check — data sent:
  • The resume text you enter or select, and your resume file if you tick "Send my resume file"
  • The job description text
  • The prompt template used for analysis
• Cover letters — data sent: the job description, your name, professional summary, years of experience, skills, up to four recent jobs, up to two education entries, city and country, and any highlight you type
• Assistant — data sent: your messages and the recent conversation, plus only what you switch on with the "Using" chips: profile details (not diversity answers), work history and education, job tracker entries (role, company, status, dates, notes), the job ad on the current page, and saved answers
• Resume import — data sent: your resume file (PDF) or the resume text you paste
• Test key: Checking your API key requests only the provider's list of available models. No profile data is sent.

Requests to OpenAI are made with response storage turned off. Each provider processes data under its own terms: OpenAI's Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, and Anthropic's Privacy Policy and Commercial Terms. We do not control how these providers handle data sent via their APIs. You use these features at your own discretion, with your own API key, and usage is billed to your provider account.

b) GitHub Pages (Static Data Fetch)

The extension may fetch the default list of job portal websites and default AI prompts from https://rehanhanar7.github.io (hosted on GitHub Pages). This is a read-only download of data — no user data is sent to this server.

No other third-party services: The extension does not use any analytics, advertising, tracking, or telemetry services.

4.1 Android Applications

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

4.2 Chrome Extension

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. We implement:

• Local-only storage: All user data is stored on your device. We do not operate any cloud servers or databases for this extension.
• Chrome's built-in security: Data is protected by Chrome's security mechanisms and your operating system's user account protections
• No remote backups: We do not create or maintain any copies of your data on external servers
• Import/export for portability: You can export your data as a JSON file and import it on another device
• Full user control: You can view, edit, and delete all stored data at any time through the extension's interface
• API key storage: If you use AI features, your OpenAI or Anthropic API key is stored in plain text in Chrome's local storage on your device, or in Chrome's session storage (cleared when Chrome closes) if you untick "Keep the key on this device". We recommend keeping your API key confidential and not sharing exported files that contain it.
• Resume file: Your resume file is stored locally and is only attached to upload fields on forms you fill, or sent to your AI provider if you choose that in Fit check.

4.3 Data Retention

Chrome Extension: Your data is retained in Chrome's local storage indefinitely until you choose to delete it. Data is automatically removed when you uninstall the extension. There is no server-side data retention since we do not store any data on our servers.

Android Applications: Data collected through third-party services (Google Play Services, AdMob) is retained according to their respective privacy policies. Business information submitted to the Manapparai Info App is retained until you request its deletion.

The Rehan Job Helper extension requests the following permissions, each with a specific and limited purpose:

5.1 Storage Permission

Purpose: To store user-saved form data, job application details, job site bookmarks, AI configuration settings, and extension preferences locally in the browser using chrome.storage.local.

Data Scope: Only data you explicitly save or configure is stored. No data is collected automatically.

5.2 Active Tab Permission

Purpose: Lets the fill keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+F) fill the page you are on, one time, even on websites the extension doesn't otherwise have access to.

Data Scope: Access is limited to the active tab and only when you press the shortcut.

5.3 Side Panel Permission

Purpose: To display the extension's interface for autofill, your profile, job applications, job sites, Fit check and settings.

Data Scope: Interface only, no additional data access beyond what is stored locally.

5.4 Scripting Permission

Purpose: To add the autofill tools to a page (including embedded application forms) when you click "Fill this page" or press the shortcut, and to show the save/fill buttons, the skills match badge and the application-confirmation check on websites you have allowed.

Data Scope: The tools only read and fill form fields and job ad details on that page, as described in Section 1.2.

5.5 Unlimited Storage Permission

Purpose: Your resume file is kept in the browser so it can be attached to upload fields, and each profile you create can keep its own resume. Chrome's standard local storage limit is too small for more than one resume.

Data Scope: Only data you save in the extension. It stays on your device.

5.6 Alarms Permission

Purpose: To refresh the follow-up reminder count on the extension icon a few times a day.

Data Scope: Reads only your locally stored job tracker. No data is sent anywhere.

5.7 Clipboard Write Permission

Purpose: To copy saved field values or evaluation reports to your clipboard when you click a copy button, including when a page won't accept autofill.

Data Scope: Only the specific value you choose to copy is written to the clipboard. No data is read from the clipboard.

5.8 Host Permissions (job portals, AI providers, job-site data)

Purpose: Access to major job portals (Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, iCIMS, SmartRecruiters, Jobvite, Workable, BambooHR, Recruitee, Teamtailor, Breezy, Taleo, SuccessFactors, LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, SEEK and Bayt) so autofill and the field buttons work there; access to api.openai.com and api.anthropic.com for the optional AI features you use; and access to rehanhanar7.github.io to download the job-site list.

Data Scope: The field buttons appear on those portals, and forms are only read or filled when you ask. The AI addresses receive data only when you use an AI feature you have allowed.

5.9 Optional Access to All Websites

Purpose: Job applications are hosted on thousands of company websites. If you turn on "Use on all websites" in Settings, the extension can fill forms and show its field buttons on any website. It is off by default, Chrome asks you to confirm it, and you can turn it off at any time.

Data Scope: Same as the job portals: forms are only read or filled when you ask. No background data collection occurs.

6.1 Android Applications

Our apps do not use cookies explicitly. However, third-party services (AdMob, Google Play Services) may use cookies to collect information and improve their services.

6.2 Chrome Extension

No cookies or tracking: The Rehan Job Helper extension does not use cookies, does not track your browsing activity (the "job tracker" and automatic tracking only record job applications you submit, on your device), and does not collect any analytics or telemetry data. No advertising SDKs or tracking pixels are included.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

7.1 Android Applications

Information may be shared with:

• Service Providers: Google Play Services and AdMob as described in their privacy policies
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

7.2 Chrome Extension

Data sharing from the Chrome extension is limited to the following scenarios, all initiated by your explicit action:

• OpenAI or Anthropic (only when you use AI features and have allowed that provider): Your saved profile values, the unanswered questions on the current form, resume text or file, and job description text may be sent to the provider you choose. This requires your own API key. See Section 3.2 for complete details.
• GitHub Pages (read-only): A download from rehanhanar7.github.io of default job site lists and prompts. No user data is included in this request.
• No other sharing: No data is shared with us (the developer), advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties. We do not have access to your locally stored data.

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately.

Our services may contain links to third-party websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

10.1 Android Applications

• Opt out of personalized ads through your device settings
• Request deletion of your submitted business information
• Uninstall the app to stop data collection

10.2 Chrome Extension

• Access: View all your saved data at any time in the extension's side panel (Autofill, Profile, Jobs, Job sites and Settings tabs)
• Edit: Modify any saved field values, job entries, or settings directly in the extension
• Export: Download all your data as a JSON backup file from the Settings tab. You choose whether to include your API keys in the export.
• Import: Import previously exported data with the option to merge with or replace existing data
• Delete: Clear all saved data (form fields, jobs, and bookmarks) from the Settings tab at any time
• Revoke AI Access: Use "Stop sharing" for a provider in Settings, or remove your API key, to stop all transmission to that provider
• Remembered answers and resume file: Use "Forget answers for this site" or "Remove" (resume file) in the Autofill tab
• Website access: Turn "Use on all websites" off in Settings at any time
• Disable: Turn off the extension at any time from Chrome's extension settings — this stops all content script activity
• Uninstall: Remove the extension completely to permanently delete all locally stored data

11.1 Android Applications

In case of errors, we may collect log data including IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, time and date of use, and other statistics through third-party services.

11.2 Chrome Extension

No log data collected: The extension does not log, track, or collect any data about your usage, errors, or browsing activity. No crash reports, diagnostics, or usage statistics are collected or transmitted.

If you access our services from outside your country, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries where our service providers operate. By using our services, you consent to such transfers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• For significant changes, providing in-app notifications

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
