This Privacy Policy describes how Rehan ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our services, including:

• Android Apps Tamil Nadu Government App, Manapparai Info App, Words to Pages Converter App
• Chrome Extension Rehan Job Helper

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We encourage you to read this policy carefully to understand how your data is handled.

1.1 Android Applications

User-Provided Information: For the Manapparai Info App, users may voluntarily submit business information including business name, address, phone number, and business category. This information is:

• Submitted voluntarily by users
• Verified by us before being displayed in the app
• Used solely to provide local business information to other users
• Not collected automatically

Analytics Data: Our apps use Google Play Services and AdMob, which may collect:

• Device information (model, operating system version)
• App usage statistics
• Crash reports and diagnostic data

1.2 Chrome Extension (Rehan Job Helper)

Data Stored Locally: The following data is stored locally in your browser and is never sent to our servers:

• Form Field Data: Personal information you manually save from web forms, which may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, LinkedIn profile URL, website URL, salary information, date of birth, passport number, educational history (college, degree, field of study, dates), employment history (company names, job titles, start/end dates), headline, and any other text you choose to save from form fields
• Job Application Tracker Data: Company name, role name, role URL, location, application status, date added, and last updated timestamp for jobs you manually track
• Job Site Bookmarks: A list of job portal websites organized by country, including both default sites and any custom sites you add
• AI Configuration Settings: Your OpenAI API key (if you choose to use AI features), selected AI model name, maximum token setting, custom prompt templates, and resume text you enter for the AI evaluator
• Extension Preferences: Enabled/disabled toggle, LLM input/output visibility toggle, and token usage counters
• Keyword Highlight Settings: Include/exclude keyword lists for job listing filtering (developer feature)

Data Accessed from Web Pages: When the extension's content scripts run on a webpage, they access:

• Form field attributes (name, id, placeholder, labels, aria-labels, type, required status)
• Form field values (only when you click the "Save" button)
• Surrounding context text near form fields (up to 200 characters of parent/sibling elements)
• Select/dropdown option values
• Page title, URL, headings, and button text (for AI form analysis only)

No Chrome Sync: This extension uses only chrome.storage.local. Your data does not sync across devices via your Google account.

Data Sent to Third Parties: When you use the optional AI-powered features (AI Autofill and Job Suitability Evaluator), certain data is transmitted to OpenAI's servers. See Section 3.2 for full details on what data is shared and with whom.

2.1 Android Applications

2.2 Chrome Extension

• Form Autofill: To save and auto-fill form field values on job application websites when you explicitly trigger it by clicking the Save or Auto Fill buttons
• Job Application Tracking: To help you track and manage job applications locally on your device
• Job Site Management: To provide a curated list of job portal websites and allow you to manage custom bookmarks
• AI-Powered Autofill (Optional): When you provide your own OpenAI API key and use the AI Autofill feature, your saved form field data (truncated to 120 characters per value) and the current page's form field metadata are sent to OpenAI's API to intelligently match and fill form fields
• Job Suitability Evaluation (Optional): When you use the AI Evaluator feature, your resume text and the job description text you paste are sent to OpenAI's API to generate a suitability score and analysis
• Clipboard Operations: To copy saved field values or AI-generated reports to your clipboard when you click a copy button
• Data Import/Export: To allow you to export your saved data as a JSON file for backup, or import previously exported data. Exported files may optionally include your OpenAI API key (you are asked to confirm before inclusion)

3.1 Android Applications

Our apps use the following third-party services that may collect information:

• Google Play Services - For app functionality and analytics
• AdMob - For displaying advertisements

3.2 Chrome Extension

The Rehan Job Helper extension communicates with the following third-party services only when you explicitly trigger specific features:

a) OpenAI API (Optional — requires user-provided API key)

If you choose to use the AI-powered features, the extension sends data to OpenAI via their API:

• AI Autofill Feature — Data sent to OpenAI:
  • Your saved form field data (field labels and values, each truncated to 120 characters). This may include personal information such as your name, email, phone number, address, salary, employment history, and other data you have saved.
  • Form field metadata extracted from the current webpage (field IDs, names, labels, placeholders, types, required status, surrounding context text, dropdown options)
  • Page title, URL, headings, and button text of the current webpage
• Job Suitability Evaluator — Data sent to OpenAI:
  • The resume text you enter or paste
  • The job description text you paste
  • The prompt template used for analysis

OpenAI processes this data according to their Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. We do not control how OpenAI handles data sent via their API. You use this feature at your own discretion using your own OpenAI API key.

b) GitHub Pages (Static Data Fetch)

The extension may fetch a default list of job portal websites from https://rehanhanar7.github.io (hosted on GitHub Pages). This is a read-only GET request — no user data is sent to this server.

No other third-party services: The extension does not use any analytics, advertising, tracking, or telemetry services.

4.1 Android Applications

We implement commercially reasonable security measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

4.2 Chrome Extension

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. We implement:

• Local-only storage: All user data is stored on your device. We do not operate any cloud servers or databases for this extension.
• Chrome's built-in security: Data is protected by Chrome's security mechanisms and your operating system's user account protections
• No remote backups: We do not create or maintain any copies of your data on external servers
• Import/export for portability: You can export your data as a JSON file and import it on another device
• Full user control: You can view, edit, and delete all stored data at any time through the extension's interface
• API key storage: If you use AI features, your OpenAI API key is stored in plain text in Chrome's local storage on your device. We recommend keeping your API key confidential and not sharing exported files that contain it.

4.3 Data Retention

Chrome Extension: Your data is retained in Chrome's local storage indefinitely until you choose to delete it. Data is automatically removed when you uninstall the extension. There is no server-side data retention since we do not store any data on our servers.

Android Applications: Data collected through third-party services (Google Play Services, AdMob) is retained according to their respective privacy policies. Business information submitted to the Manapparai Info App is retained until you request its deletion.

The Rehan Job Helper extension requests the following permissions, each with a specific and limited purpose:

5.1 Storage Permission

Purpose: To store user-saved form data, job application details, job site bookmarks, AI configuration settings, and extension preferences locally in the browser using chrome.storage.local.

Data Scope: Only data you explicitly save or configure is stored. No data is collected automatically.

5.2 Active Tab Permission

Purpose: To interact with the current webpage only when you explicitly click "Save", "Auto Fill", or AI-related action buttons.

Data Scope: Access is limited to the active tab and only when triggered by user action.

5.3 Side Panel Permission

Purpose: To display the extension's management interface for viewing and organizing saved fields, job applications, job sites, and AI features.

Data Scope: Interface only, no additional data access beyond what is stored locally.

5.4 Scripting Permission

Purpose: To inject content scripts into web pages for form field detection, saving, and autofilling. Used as a fallback mechanism when content scripts need to be dynamically injected.

Data Scope: Scripts only access form field elements on the page and only operate when triggered by your actions.

5.5 Clipboard Write Permission

Purpose: To copy saved field values, AI autofill results, or evaluation reports to your clipboard when you click a copy button.

Data Scope: Only the specific value you choose to copy is written to the clipboard. No data is read from the clipboard.

5.6 Host Permissions (all_urls)

Purpose: To allow the extension's content scripts to run on any job portal or application website where you may want to save or autofill form data. This broad permission is necessary because job application forms exist on thousands of different websites.

Data Scope: Content scripts are injected on all pages but only actively operate when you interact with the extension's buttons (Save, Auto Fill). The scripts do not collect, transmit, or modify any data without your explicit action. No background data collection occurs.

6.1 Android Applications

Our apps do not use cookies explicitly. However, third-party services (AdMob, Google Play Services) may use cookies to collect information and improve their services.

6.2 Chrome Extension

No cookies or tracking: The Rehan Job Helper extension does not use cookies, does not track your browsing activity, and does not collect any analytics or telemetry data. No advertising SDKs or tracking pixels are included.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

7.1 Android Applications

Information may be shared with:

• Service Providers: Google Play Services and AdMob as described in their privacy policies
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

7.2 Chrome Extension

Data sharing from the Chrome extension is limited to the following scenarios, all initiated by your explicit action:

• OpenAI (only when you use AI features): Your saved form field data (truncated to 120 characters per value), form field metadata from the current page, resume text, and job description text may be sent to OpenAI's API when you use the AI Autofill or Job Suitability Evaluator features. This requires you to provide your own OpenAI API key. See Section 3.2 for complete details.
• GitHub Pages (read-only): A GET request to rehanhanar7.github.io to fetch default job site lists. No user data is included in this request.
• No other sharing: No data is shared with us (the developer), advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties. We do not have access to your locally stored data.

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately.

Our services may contain links to third-party websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

10.1 Android Applications

• Opt out of personalized ads through your device settings
• Request deletion of your submitted business information
• Uninstall the app to stop data collection

10.2 Chrome Extension

• Access: View all your saved data at any time in the extension's side panel (Fields, Jobs, Job Sites, and Settings tabs)
• Edit: Modify any saved field values, job entries, or settings directly in the extension
• Export: Download all your data as a JSON backup file from the Settings tab. You choose whether to include your OpenAI API key in the export.
• Import: Import previously exported data with the option to merge with or replace existing data
• Delete: Clear all saved data (form fields, jobs, and bookmarks) from the Settings tab at any time
• Revoke AI Access: Remove your OpenAI API key from the Settings tab to stop all external data transmission
• Disable: Turn off the extension at any time from Chrome's extension settings — this stops all content script activity
• Uninstall: Remove the extension completely to permanently delete all locally stored data

11.1 Android Applications

In case of errors, we may collect log data including IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, time and date of use, and other statistics through third-party services.

11.2 Chrome Extension

No log data collected: The extension does not log, track, or collect any data about your usage, errors, or browsing activity. No crash reports, diagnostics, or usage statistics are collected or transmitted.

If you access our services from outside your country, your information may be transferred to and processed in other countries where our service providers operate. By using our services, you consent to such transfers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

• Posting the new Privacy Policy on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• For significant changes, providing in-app notifications

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
